Regardless, it was designed for greater than the snow load that caused the roof to collapse. Their engineers are claiming it's an act of god and failed because the 20 inches of snow were greater than the 35lbs/sq ft they designed to. When I pointed it out that this is not so, they told me I was out of the warranty period. I truly regret signing a contract to build me a simple 24'x24' garage with them.

I understand that BuzzBuzzHome has a zero-tolerance policy on fake reviews. I think their construction is sub-standard. Just give me the money to repair my building. This whole experience has been highly disappointing. Their customer service is awful, their claim to of absolute commitment to Customer Service and excellent warranties is a sham. Maryland laws protect consumers by requiring home improvement contractors to hold a current license issued by the Maryland Home Improvement Commission.

Fast forward 1 1/2 years after construction is done, 1/3 of my roof collapsed. This is less than 30lbs/sq ft of snow load. Even though I requested a snow loading of 60 lbs/sq ft, they built it to 35 lbs/sq ft and I signed the contract without reviewing the font size 8 notes . They are claiming "Ag Exemption" for the low snow load.

Construction methods did not cause this building to fail, and I will contend if additional concrete were added the columns would have still snapped given such a severe weather event. Acts of God such as this are precisely why there is insurance, and it certainly should cover a case like this if in fact proper insurance was placed on this building. The commentary posted is bordering slander, and we will take whatever steps necessary to protect our good name, which we have spent over 40 years establishing. However, they only put one truss every 12 feet. I have two engineering degrees and this is not anything that we were ever taught was safe in construction, especially in snow country. Additionally, there was one lateral tie running the middle of the trusses down the length of the building.

Our neighbors all think the company is a big joke. We have had past communications with this client involving the issues with the driveway to the property. And we have denied responsibility as well. The drive is relatively deteriorated, and yes the excavation sub contractor did add some gravel in spots to try to alleviate the issues.

In short, the building was 6 weeks LATE to begin the build and they misjudged the soil and asked for 25% more for the difficult soil. The crew was wrapping up on a very cold Christmas Eve, and once spring came, and I had paid for the building, I asked for a couple of small corrections due to poor workmanship. The building had 3 small problems, and its been 8 weeks, and they have not yet been able to replace one panel. Warring buyer beware if you are considering buying a Cleary building in the Butler Pa. Thank you for letting me come on your site and take a look at the issues with your building. At first site I thought the building was not to bad and we could make some small repairs and get this finalized.

We signed a contract in Dec 2020 to have a shop put up. We were told they would be there in July 2021. Day after day, week after week, month after month they had every excuse in the books of why they were not there. We asked for our deposit back and they offered to give us 1/3 of it.

I counteroffered $500; knowing no extra engineering time needed for my build. Furthermore, the building would not be started before August. Therefore, no need to start ordering any of the material needed.

I want other potential customers of Cleary to beware. After doing the damage they did not offer any help and just went away. Their salesman stopped communicating and retired.

The only days they stayed late were the days we were on-site. It took 3 months for them to get the building almost finish. The final week they got sloppy and scratched a bunch of tin. The sales guy wanted us to pay the final $8k and we laughed in his face. He told us they would just open a warranty ticket.

I asked for a detailed invoice for the charges of over 4k that they were charging me for. The DIRECTOR OF MARKETING refused to produce the invoice! I received my partial refund in late July of 2021, nearly 10 months of nothing being done that cost me over 4k.. This company is the biggest group of liars you’ll ever meet.

We have executed over 120, 000 of those contracts and have been in business since 1978. Our projects range from simple outbuildings to elaborate commercial structures, the contracts do need to be detailed. We regret that this Client is not pleased with the outcome, and we did escalate this project to the Region Manager as soon as we discovered the problems with the project. We did everything possible to work with this client to proceed with the building and take care of him.

I believe the $500 I offered to be sufficient compensation for doing nothing extraordinary. From his earliest days, Pat could be seen on all the job sites with his father, showing his keen interest for home building. Pat is well known for his design prowess in both custom and innovative, entry level, single family homes, earning him many awards for excellence in new home design. The building is fine, communication was very poor, and I would not use them again. The most shocking for a large company is the organization of the lake Geneva office and Brad Zenner's promises are unbelievable.

Contract

It is clear in our contract that access to the building site is required, and Cleary Building Corp. nor our sub contractors are responsible for damage from access. No other option was provided for access to the building site by the client other than using the driveway entrance. I had a building built by Cleary Building Corp, based in Verona WI; I used their Lake Geneva Office.

We work hard to figure out who the great contractors are, and who the bad contractors are. The Maryland Home Improvement Commission maintains high standards for home improvement contractor licensing. Applicants must provide proof of at least two years of experience or education in their given field and pass a board exam prior to receiving their license. Unfortunately we made our final payment before he fixed a couple of issues with our building and it's been one excuse after another. The last excuse was his "yard was broken into and all tools taken". I was googling this when I ran across additional complaints about Cleary. They do not ask if your site is inaccessible at certain times of the year due to snow or mud. They just showed up with building materials, even when I told them they couldn't drive to the building site for another month.

The materials were dropped off a month ago. The wood is cockeyedly resting on a sand pile and warping in the rain. No calls, no contacts when told it would be up next week, a month ago.
